As the Treasurer, I'm in charge of taking care of all the membership dues etc.

We are currently setting up new guidelines for membership eligibility, and I WILL NOT accept a mailed in membership application without at least one current member sponsorship. We hope to have the complete guidelines completed in the next 1-2 months.

As of right now the dues are $20 per year.

The best way to sign up for membership is to make it to at least one GTG and meet with the rest of the club. If you are interested, talk to me or one of the other officers.

If you have a current member sponsoring for you, you can send a check and your name, username, address, email address, phone number, and sticker color. IF you want your sticker mailed to you, please include a LARGE self addressed and stamped envelope.

Until we set up an official Norcal bank account, make the checks payable to me, with the memo Norcal LS1 membership.

Email me directly if you need my address.

As soon as possible after I recieve your check, I'll set up your access/password.

Thanks
Ned

hey ned.....did you ever see my suggestion at the end of the thread "all these people wanting stickers..."? it's under the norcal members only section...

unfortunately, it came at the end of the 37 posts for that topic, and i didn't get much response...i think it summarizes the gist of what everyone was talking about, re membership requirements...what do you think? we need some sort of written statement about how to join...

here it is:

here's an example of what i think should show up when someone clicks on "membership requirements":
"NorCal-LS1 is always interested in accepting new members to its ranks. To be selected you must have posted enough on the Bulletin Board, and attended enough of our GTG's or other events, that a few of us have a chance to get to know you. Once that happens, let us know that you are interested in full membership and we will consider inviting you to join the best car club in Northern California."

i say keep 'em guessing...this ain't the boy scouts where the rote acquisition of x number of merit badges allows ANYONE to get a badge...make them wonder...keep it a little mysterious...

Yes Lee I did read your original post.

We are hopefully going to have an Officer meeting in the next month to get a rough idea of the requirements. Then we will get some feed back form the club.

I appreciate your input.Thanks

I have aquestion about your membership? I registered a few days back after talking to my friend Darko and Brett who already are members. I want to become a full member to your club. I noticed you want all newbies to go to atleast one GTG to meet some people. Do these GTG's have to be the big ones that everyone goes to or can they be the one's in your area with members from the club. Once we have a sponser do we just send you our money and info?

Hi Jon-
We are currently working on some guidelines to becoming a member. Right now, we are asking that anyone that wants to become a member come out to a GTG and meet the club. We would prefer it be a larger formal GTG, so more people can meet you.

We have two larger GTG planned in the next 2 weeks, so please come out and introduce yourself.
