Well,
I got the 12 bolt to go in (the 10 is out of the car), pulleys, panhard, and I orderd HAL shocks for the car today. The Bilstiens, much as I love em', are not drag racing shocks. I need to transfer more weight to the back when I launch, so the HALS are going in......

Yeah,
That's ok....I have good trash, huh? Lil'B, these are the SLP Bilstiens. They were 179 plus shipping for all 4. They have the lifetime warranty. I would take $75 for all 4, since they have about 20K on them. So that would be 150 for them and the panhard. We can work a deal on payment, but installing the front ones is a different story.....

Ralph,
If you can hold them then that'd be great. But it's your decision. What about those front shocks? Too hard to install?
Szabolcs,
You see why I only use cash?! If I could spend money that I didn't have there would be snipers on me all day long! http://216.147.104.117/noncgi/wink.gif

Lil B,
I'll put em' away for you. The fronts take about 2.5 hours to do, and require a spring compressor. I'll tell you what.....we'll trade labor. Wait till my HAL shocks get here, and we can do both of them the same day. You help me, I help you. Even Steven on the labor.
STAY AWAY from credit cards! I don't have any, and don't want any.

Mike,
Thanks lots for the offer, you're a life saver! Also a cash saver actually! http://216.147.104.117/noncgi/wink.gif
Ralph,
You too! I'll be glad to help you out with the Hal's. It's an even better deal for me cuz I'm learning how to do it too so that's great. Thanks.
How would the shocks directly affect my handling? Should I get springs to go with them? If I do, I want something that lowers my car LESS THAN 1 inch. I know the Eibach's are 1.25" and the Hotchkis' are 1". Anything better than stock but less than a 1" drop? 1LE, SS? Also, a linear set might be nice to my butt too...

SLP level 2 SS springs - progresive rate springs, made by eibach.
I think it's 3/4" drop....they are what I have on my car

The Bils will stiffen up the ride some, and help keep the car more level and stable in a corner.
What Kurtis said.

Maybe I can help a little, here.
I finally got all my suspension stuff on, and the thing is wicked on the expressway ramps. No bump steer anymore, growls before it slides, then slides evenly when it does start to give. Virtually no body roll, no squeaks. Ok, a bit stiff riding and a little noisier inside (from the trannie mount, I think), but a breathtaking ride.
Heres what I got:
98 T/A Convt, 6 spd
255/45/17 Michelin Pilot XGTZ4 front on 17x8
285/40/17 Michelin Pilot XGT Z4 back on 17x9
Bilstein HD Shocks & Struts
WS6 Springs
1LE (32mm) front Swaybar with ES Bushings & ES Bushings on endlinks
Stock (19mm) rear Swaybar with ES Bushings & ES Bushings on endlinks
BMR LCA's
BMR Panhard Bar
Hotchkiss 2 point STB
I'm near Chicago. Roads around here aren't nice to lowered cars, so this is about as good as it will be for me. I've never driven anything that handles like this thing does now before. Better (stickier) tires would improve it, too, but I'm not racing it, so its a non-issue for me. BTW, I wouldn't expect this to be a good drag racing setup.
