I had a great time, and I have to do it again, and again, and... ;)
This was my first time actually racing, and I think it showed! :D At least I had taken several rides w/ Todd and others. My first run I almost spun it, and ended up fishtailing and almost comming to a complete stop, obviously that time wasn't too good (71). My second I went for the full loop :D (gotta love the RSAs :() and got a mid 70. My third run I was a bit aprehensive but managed to make a very clean, if not fast, run of 65 seconds. My fourth run entered the long straight so much better that I had way more speed by the end, got on the brakes super hard and got a ton of axle hop which lead to a spin when I tried to make the tight right hander. Oh well, I had a ton of fun!!!! I still need to wash my car and get that cone residue off!!! :) ;)
For those of you who haven't tried this, it's a must. And if you are woried about looking bad or something, forget about it! I spun twice, almost spun once, and my only "clean" lap was pretty slow. Of course my completely stock suspension and 245 RSA's didn't help matters, but oh well. You'll never be able to have this much fun on the street w/o getting hurt or arrested. So just come out and do it!!!!!!!!!

Man... I wish I was able to get out there! I got called into the office on my way out... that sucked sitting in front of a computer when I should have been beating the dogsnot out of my car :( ... Next time I will be there however :)
Speaking of this... one of the things I did was go over to freyracing.. they are very nice over there, I had to custom order a helmet due to the fact I have a fat head and they took care of me very well. I will have it in my hands tomorow... not bad for asking for it Friday Night at 6:30pm :)

DOH! I hate that when you bust your @ss to make a deadline and then you find out you could have happily procrastinated a couple more days! ;)
But hopefully I'll see you both next time! :)

Monet and I had a great time !!!
My runs...
68.113 DNF (ran off course !!! Ask Todd about this one :0)
64.813
63.603 +1 cone
63.470
Fun runs: 63.985, 63.072, 63.688
Monet ran
70.506
69.176
68.181
69.117
She ran much better when she stopped agruing with Todd while driving !!! :) :D
For those people that havent made it to an AutoX, you have no idea what you are missing. There is nothing like trying to push yourself and the car to the limit in a controlled enviroment. Like TJ said, its all about having fun !!!!

Good times Ned and Monet! :) BTW, sorry I didn't stick around to see you guys run, I was fading fast out there. I watched my friend's band play until about 2 am then got up at 6:30! See you guys next time.

Todd - I want to thank you for riding with me. Sorry I argued about the clutch. I bet I could have shaved some more time if I would have shut up and listened to you more. I had a lot of fun driving, but also really enjoyed all of the rides. I couldn't get over the handling of that Corvette on the slalom! Too bad Paula didn't show. Guess will have to wait until the next one for the match-up!

Ned ? did you ride in that white C5 with 11" racing tires all arround?
If you did, that car is MAD, I lo0ve his setup (11" all around)!
That car convinced me that a C5 is tons diffrent then an F-body and can handle like if it was on rails, IRS rock!
Off course the driver was probably alot for it.

Monet and I both took a ride in it. The car handles awesome. On the run I was on, he plowed through about 6 cones in one section   The run Monet went on was better.

I can't wait to get my old rearend back in and have ABS back! Then (if it's not 150* outside) I'll be at another autoX. It's been a long long time since I've done it, with new tires and springs to boot too. It'd be interesting to see what a 3500 stall converter and a tight course would be like too. :D
FYI Steve, you can fit 315's all around on an f-bod too, but I dunno if that's possible with a lowered call. Search for BillS on LS1.com under the AC & RR forum, he's got that setup.

I'm glad ya'll had a good time.
TJ, Mike enjoyed riding with you and helping you out. He said it was more fun helping you than driving (he didn't really like the course but still ran like a 55).
Ned and Monet, I had a good time helpin ya out. Monet was pushing harder than I expected getting a little squirlly :) and I'm sure will do even better next time (NO COASTING :)). Ned, you did good to, except for the one DNF when you forgot to hit the brakes until the turn in point  .
Officer Goat, at least you will have a helmet for next time, sucks they called you in thoug. At least they called before you got to Marina, that would have really sucked. Hopefully you can make the next one.
30th, at least you got the prodject done now, there will be more autocrosses.
Ned and Monet did ride in the white C5, but he was trying a narrower tire in front so it had 255's in front and 315's in back. I't didn't seem to be going quite as fast but still did OK.
Hope to see everyone at the next event.
