What should I do.
I have a tire with a hole in it, slow leak so nothing bad but the tire shop says it can't be patched since its though the sidewall.
The tire gets down to about 15psi from 30psi in about 1 week. I plan on buying new tires some day but I am not ready. What can I do??
On my bike (huffy) not motor bike I used to buy this green slime stuff to patch small hole, I would just empty the contents into the tire and never did I have a flat. Do they have something similar for a car.

Had bad experiences with any form of fix-a-flat.... sidewall punctures can get worse... It can cause the belts to seperate and bubble.. possibly causing a blowout... since its a highly flexed area. we would usually say replace it.. cause it cant be patched. you can try to plug it.. but i dont think it'll hold... get a new tire.

Even myself, Queen of broken tires, would have that one just replaced, wouldnt care how I had to come up with the money. On another note, the foam stuff is good for two things, always rescued me so I could ocntinue my route, and when I finally got a new set of tires I really pissed off the guys there the goopy mess that got all ove rthe damned place :)

If it's the front, I'd replace both. Otherwise your car might pull and feel out of alignment. If it's the rear, I prolly would just do one tire.

I heard these are good tires that last forever but pricey
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 Price: $187
These are the highest rated tires on www.tirerack.com much cheaper too

Teresa has theese tires on her Z, I like them alot.
If you want to wait awhile before you buy, I have a couple of 17's you can have. They are prolly good for a few thousand miles.

Sweet, I will give them a try.
I figure I better get new tires sooner then later. But let me know when you have them available, I might procrastinate ;)
