I am researching new wheels for my '02 Z28. I want 17x9 or 17x9.5s to go with the 4 17 inch Goodyear F1s I got for a great deal. I was originally interested in the Fikse FM5s, but I could never justify spending $2800 on wheels alone, so I ditched that idea even though they look great and are perfect for the car. I am interested in the 5 spoke Grand Sport/SS replica wheels from SLP through LMPerformance, but I've heard that most of the knock off versions of this wheel are cheap Bulgarian castings which are very heavy (heavier than the OEM SS wheel). Does anyone know if the SLPs are the OEM wheels which came on the SS when SLP did the conversions? Also, are these wheels excessively heavy? What about chrome? Does this add a lot of weight to the wheel? Thanks.

OK, what the style I'm talking about is the ZR-1 style wheel.

Good luck getting ahold of them....check on LS1.com, there are sets there once in a while, seems like quite a few lately. Both stockers, and AFS wheels. Also, I read that there have been a few people selling the AFS ZR-1s on E-Bay quite a bit now.
